BRHA Senior Challenge Cup 2013 - Report

The Southampton Jaguars traveled to Applemore in the BRHA Senior Challenge Cup 21st July 2013 and were knocked out in the semi final stages.


Due to various reasons the Jags took a short bench to BRHA Senior Cup, Applemore. With just 5 outfield players and 1 goal-tender the lads did well to get to the Semi Final stages.
In the group stages the Jags had a 100% record with 3 Wins, 20 Goals For and 2 Goals Against.
With these results it meant the Jags finished top, thus creating a quarter final tie against Wildcats B who came 4th in the other group.
The Jags eventually won the quarter final in an unconvincing fashion as a short bench took its toll, the lads eventually scored 3 goals in a scrappy game.
In the semi final the Jags met the eventual winners the Falcons, who they beat in the group stages 3-1. This time the lads never got started and fatigue took its toll. The Falcons deservedly won with a 4 nil score line.
The Falcons then went on to play the Stars who were also in the same group as the Jags. They won 2-1 in Penalty Shots.

The Southampton Jaguars would like to thank Tina and Kevin Allen for inviting us to this competition and making it a enjoyable day. We were impressed with the high quality of the match officials and how smoothly the day went. We look forward to next years tournament.
