West Completes Loan Move to Spiders

Rouen Spiders completed a midnight deal to secure the loan signing of Adam John West after being forced to seek an extension to the 11pm transfer deadline. The Spiders, who clinched the one-year loan transfer after Paris and Caen rejected the opportunity to pursue a deal for the Southampton Jaguars forward, requested the extra hour to process paperwork to meet the requirements of the IIHF Transfer Matching System after West passed a medical. Despite being granted the midnight extension by the Inline Hockey France - Home of the "RILH" Elite Semi Professional Inline Hockey League in France, Spiders did not confirm West’s signing until the early hours of Tuesday morning, with an official press statement to be scheduled for later on this week. West landed in Rouen last night ahead of a medical at the Spiders’s MJC Rive Gauche Training Centre after the club’s executive vice-chairman, Yohann Lebreaux, negotiated a season-long loan with a view to a permanent move for the England international.
